What's the best way to get to my resort from Malé Airport?
Most resorts within about an hour of Velana International Airport are reached by speedboat. Resorts further away typically use a domestic flight or seaplane connection. Check your resort's transfer page under Resort Transfers for the exact option.
How do speedboat transfers to local islands work?
Local islands like Maafushi are served by scheduled shared speedboats with fixed departure times and live seat availability, shown on our Island Transfers page. You submit a booking request and we confirm it with the operator — no payment is taken upfront.
Can I book a private boat instead of a shared transfer?

Do I need a domestic flight or seaplane instead of a speedboat?
Resorts in atolls far from Malé, such as parts of Baa, Lhaviyani, or the southern atolls, are usually reached by domestic flight or seaplane rather than speedboat. Your resort's transfer information will specify which is used.
